By using Mera Samaj, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mera Samaj, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Use of the Platform

Mera Samaj is designed for legitimate community management purposes. You agree not to use the platform to: spread misinformation, harass other members, engage in illegal activities, or violate the rights of others.

3. Community Administrator Responsibilities

Community administrators are responsible for managing their community's content and members. Administrators must ensure their community complies with applicable Indian laws.

4. Messaging, Media, and Retention

Chat retention

Unless a conversation uses disappearing messages or you delete content sooner, we retain chat message metadata and server-side copies for up to three (3) years to support delivery, safety, and lawful requests. After that window, messages are removed or anonymized on a rolling basis.

Disappearing messages

When enabled in a conversation, disappearing messages are removed from our servers after the timer you select (for example 24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days). Removal is enforced by automated jobs; brief delivery delays may occur.

Media and device storage

Private chat and distributed media are designed for a device-first model: encrypted payloads are stored on your phone or computer, with optional peer or edge relay while a transfer completes. We keep only routing metadata and integrity checks on our servers—not readable media content for end-to-end encrypted sends.

Community images on CDN

Images attached to feed posts, profiles, and other community surfaces may be cached on our CDN for fast loading. Those copies are typically purged within six (6) months unless the underlying post remains public and actively served.

End-to-end encryption (E2EE)

Where supported, you may enable end-to-end encryption for direct and group chats. When E2EE is on, message bodies are encrypted on your device before they leave it; we cannot read them. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for recovery if you lose access to encrypted history.

5. Rate Limits and Fair Use

To protect communities from spam and abuse, we apply server-side rate limits. Unless your community administrator configures different limits, regular members may create up to 10 posts per rolling 24-hour window. Additional limits apply to comments, listings, OTP requests, and API traffic. Exceeding a limit returns a temporary error; limits reset automatically.

6. Subscription and Payments

Subscription fees are billed in Indian Rupees (INR). Refunds are available within 7 days of payment if you are not satisfied. Contact us at 9100003300 to request a refund.

7. Intellectual Property

Mera Samaj and its content are owned by us. Content you post in your community remains yours; you grant us a license to display it within the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

Mera Samaj is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana.
